Now that the Christmas stockings are down and the gifts are opened I can introduce you to Morgan & Nova! Their humans are both in the medical field so when I asked about how the dogs got their names I was told that Nova got her name from a little help-aide we call Novocain. Morgan, who's dad has a love of video games is named after the character in Red Dead Redemption. (I hadn't heard of that one, but my husband said, "yeah, yeah!") Nova is an energetic dog, and Morgan adds one more level (no easter eggs that I saw during our session though). ;O) They both have their repertoire of tricks that they like to perform, but while Nova likes to chase the tennis ball, Morgan likes to chase Nova. It's clear to me that Morgan and Nova love being with their humans whether they're hanging out on the couch or off on an adventure. I wonder what they say about them when they're at work. Do they talk about the adventures? Or, how lucky they are? How lucky their humans are? Medical advancements? Video games? (Sorry, my mind does this when I look at pictures of dogs.) Whatever you're thinking, Morgan and Nova, I'd like to say you have a beautiful family. Have a wonderful 2025! This handsome little guy's name is probably the best name I've heard for a pup in a long time. Say hello to Beaudee Jangles! Isn't that a great name?!?! It just puts a huge smile on my face when I hear it. Beau means handsome in French, and the rest is just icing on the pupcake. Beaudee is celebrating his 10th birthday, but he doesn't let the number slow him down. This pup is sweet and playful, performs tricks for mom, herds dad, loves boats and paddle boarding, and heads up the neighborhood watch group where he watches all the goings on from his post on the back of the couch. I found that this little guy likes to run for fun, and since there were no ducks to bark at and run after at our session, we found a little spot for him to show how fast his little legs could go. Leaves? Why yes, Beaudee likes leaves. He'll run through them, perform tricks in them, and even try them on as accessories if the opportunity presents itself. At the end of the day, Beaudee loves life and he loves being a dog. On top of that he loves being his humans' dog. Well, it IS a dog's life. Happy birthday, Beaudee! Here's to many more fun adventures. She's the definition of sweetness. Literally. What makes her the happiest? Her human, her feline housemates, and people, people and more people. Say hello to Ember! Fall is a fun season for Ember as she LOVES the leaves! And, I have to say her colors might just be yellow, orange and red. They look great on her! At home Ember might be content playing with her feline friends, but she loves being with her dog mom. Playing, learning new tricks, tug of war and belly scratches, what's not to love?! I watched these two have fun with each other for over an hour, and I think it's safe to say, Ember adores her human, and calls her home. These two are quite different, but in a good way. Say hello to Smoke & Tucker! Tucker is an energetic pup who can find the naughty, ehem, I mean fun and energy that any situation has to offer, and will turn anything into a game. (And, oooooh the smile he wears while doing it!) Smoke is more of a moseying, take his time, go with the flow type of guy... mostly. ha These boys know they've got it good. Tucker gets to hunt, and Smoke gets to hang out with mom. They both love their one on one time, and I wonder if they brag about their day with each other... I got to run for miles and dad only hit the button 7 times! I got away with sooooo much! It was great! Well, I got to hike to the rocks with mom and I got to lay in the sun next to her while she read and then we went back home and snuggled on the couch. You can't top that so don't even try. Even though these two are very different, they both agree they have two of the best humans a dog could ask for. (Even when those humans let the photographer put a Santa hat on them. sheesh) This little girl loved her session! Being the sassy pup that she is, I don't think Penny stopped the entire time! I don't think she ever stopped smiling either! (Well, there was this one picture, but I won't embarrass her with that one.) ;O) Penny's favorite place to be is with her dog mom. She's more companion than pet and it shows when you're around them. She ran and explored throughout her entire session, always making sure mom was right there having fun, too. It seems that this little girl also has a few tricks up her furry sleeve. Once Penny was sure mom was there, she would strike a pose like she'd been doing this all her life. What a good dog, Penny! Penny and her dog mom are family. Like camping and marshmallows, or pumpkins and Charlie Brown, they're a perfect fit. Happy Thanksgiving girls!! This beautiful girl is called Raven. She's crazy about two things... her dog mom and canine sports. Which does she like better? You'll have to ask her, but I think there might only be a thin line that divides the two. If you want to see Raven in action you'll find her competing and cheering on her friends at dock diving, scent work, barn hunt, fast cat, rally, and she's pretty darn good at frisbee, too! You know those letters after a professional's name? Raven has nine sets of letters after her name and she's still just as friendly and personable as she ever was. ;O) They say a picture's worth a thousand words... so here's about 7000 of them: Raven, you got one of the good ones, girl. I wish you tons of fun competing and performing, but most of all lots of love and spirited barking when you're waiting your turn at the events. ;O) These two do everything together. Sage and Belle are family dogs who love their humans. If there's a family outing, they're there. Going to the lake, they're there. Hanging out with the kids and playing, they are definitely there! Sage and Belle will tell you that mom is probably their favorite human, but they love playing with princess Lily. And, running with the boys is just as much fun. These two have the best of both worlds. They have each other everywhere they go, and they have their family to love and enjoy life with each benefiting from the other in turn. Sage and Belle, you are two lucky, lucky dogs. I wish you lots and lots of wonderful adventures with your humans!
Like a lot of dogs, these three are very happy and love being with their humans. They love being part of the family and they like doing things together, but their personalities are still all their own. Oliver is energetic and smart. He's one of those dogs who has taught himself to open doors. Only in emergencies please, Oliver. Not just when you're trying to impress the ladies. Like most human kids, Odin wants your attention as soon as you get on the phone, but he's the most caring dog in the world. He loves everyone, and he doesn't even have a favorite between mom and dad! Then there's Opie. Oh, Opie you're so dang cute! He runs around like a little rabbit with a huge smile on his face, and he has his favorite toy that he plays with before bed every night. Kelsey said she wanted her images to show the "organized chaos" that is their family. So, we found a place out of the way where these three could play and be themselves. They played and played, (and Opie barked a bit, ha) and then they played some more. But, we did manage to get them to stop for family pictures along the way. Between all the running, jumping, chasing and posing I think it's fair to say they had a pretty good afternoon. As a side note, I'd like to comment on how so very happy these dogs are. Kelsey and Donald adopted these pups one at a time and welcomed them into their family with patience and grace. They have found activities that let their dogs be their best doggie selves. Odin runs with mom, and Oliver and his dog dad are an amazing dock diving team. I love it when people are able to find something that their dog loves to do and then embraces it, letting their dog live their best life. What do you get when you take three Frenchies to a photo shoot? A whole lot of fun followed by 3 very pooped pups. I don't know... something about having shorter legs. Meet Henri, the big brother who considers himself a prince in more ways than just looking very handsome... Jacques, the sassy one who's life goal is to get as many pets and belly rubs as possible... and Louie, the newest edition who wants to be just like his brothers. These three were happy to go anywhere and everywhere and around every corner was a new adventure. Louie had never seen a bicycle before and he stopped and turned every time one went past. I swear I could hear his little mind saying, "Did you see that??!!" He was so excited! They ran, they played, they snuggled, and...well someone even grabbed a quick snooze. In the end, all three were ready to nap, but they were all still smiling. At the first sign of the session's end, Henri took things into his own paws and led everyone back to the car. (Yes, he knew which one was his.) ;O) Three dogs can be a challenge, but when they look after each other like these three do you can't help but smile. They adore their humans and they are very much loved in return. Now, here's a dog who knows what it means to enjoy the life of a dog. Lambeau is fun, lovable, and most of all knows how to play. In fact, when talking with his dog dad at our consultation I found that I had written the word, play (or some form of it) 9 times! Can you see the smile on my face?? Lambeau is playful, Lambeau loves to play, Lambeau's job is playing, Lambeau is happiest during playtime, and one of the personality traits that Lambeau's dog dad likes about him is his playfulness.... you get the idea. ;O) I was told that this dog will show people his goofy smile that shows his teeth. I was also told that when he runs he does the same thing. I didn't get the "say cheese" grin from him, but he did show me his toothy run. ha! At the end of our session, Lambeau made his way back to the car like he was about to go on an adventure. I tell my clients that their dog will most likely sleep all the way home after a session, but I have to say I may have fallen a bit short on this promise when it comes to Lambeau. I think he could have gone another round... and smiled all the way through. Keep smiling, Lambeau. It looks good on you. :O) |
Quoted...I can't really get them to say "cheese," but I can almost always make them smile. -Kelly Categories
