Yes, I have a special love for photographing dogs, but another of my passions is black and white photography. Over the past several years I have photographed downtown Sioux Falls with a focus on detail. I love to walk around downtown with my camera and take pictures of the falls, the sculptures, and close ups of the iconic buildings.
When I snapped my first group of photos downtown, I really liked the images I was capturing, but when I turned them to black and white, the images seemed to come alive. They tell a story, or at least give the impression that they might be willing to share a tidbit or two of that story.
It's a very good day when the temps are in the high 60's, the sun is shining, (with very little wind or course) and downtown is humming with people walking and talking and enjoying the day. If the weather turns, a grilled cheese and fries at The Diner will make everything right again.
